National recording artist, Mr Bobby Rush is coming to Portland specifically to perform with his friends in United by Music North America Band! Rush estimates that he has cut over 345 songs since he first began making music. He has been honored with 3 Grammy nominations, 10 Blues Music Awards, 41 nominations and was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame in 2006.
As a decade long, frequent featured guest on Amanda Gresham's Delta Music Experience travel trips and productions, he learned about Amanda's passion for United by Music North America and has served as a fan and mentor since Amanda and Barbara Hammerman started the North American program in 2012. It's especially exciting that Mr. Bobby is coming to Portland specifically to be with the UBMNA Artists, Mentors and fans of United by Music as they begin their 5th Anniversary Season in 2017.
Recently returned from six sold-out performances in The Netherlands, United by Music North America musicians will give you something to cheer about with their Blues, Jazz, and Rock-n-Roll tunes, a perfect Halloween mix!
Portland’s own Andy Stokes will be on hand along with other United by Music mentors to create an soul stirring, spirited, spell-binding, wickedly wonderful brew, just for YOU!
Both of these multi- award-winning gentlemen will be sharing tunes from their new albums and joining the exceptional musicians of United by Music North America on stage.
